Hi, I'm Sensei Andrew Holden and although now 8th dan, I began practicing Aikido aged 17 some 35+ years ago at a local adult education centre under the tutelage of Sensei Arthur Hart then 4th Dan. I was leaving school and looking for some sporting activity.  I saw Aikido, tried it, and instantly fell in love with this mystical martial art.

I'm still as enthusiastic (kamikaze style) as I was back then.  I spent many years being Uke Deshi for Shihan Ralph Reynolds where I not only learnt the intricacies of technique but the all important feel of techniques.

Over the years I've started many clubs then handing them over to other junior instructors to continue.

Being an instructor for since 1984 I've taught students that are now high grade in their own right.

I'm also the secretary, event organiser, web/graphic designer, coach liaison officer for the Fellowship and husband to Sensei J Holden.
